About Us

 Foothill Mushrooms is a local farm in the small town of Newcastle, "the fruit basket" of the foothills. Along with our self grown mandarins, tomatoes and other healthy produce, we wanted to grow additional nutrient rich foods to add to our diet.  What started out as "just adding" more home grown foods to our diet became a passionate love for these self-fruiting miracles, known as mushrooms.  A year later here we are, specializing in the production of gourmet mushrooms to share with others.  Our current product rotation includes several Oyster varieties,  Enoki, Chestnut and various others. Foothill Mushrooms is a sustainable and environmentally conscious business. We produce our mushrooms using sterilized local products, sourced in California. Using a variety of whole grains, hardwoods and beets, Foothill Mushrooms strives to always produce the tastiest, healthiest mushrooms.  We won't sell to the public anything that is not good enough for our family.
